‘Brexit Regret’ in Charts

More Britons favour rejoining the EU than those who still support Brexit.

Most Brits have had enough of Brexit and want to rejoin the EU.

Recent polling data shows that there are only two regions in Great Britain where more voters want to stay outside the EU. The rest would rather rejoin.

Indeed, a poll of polls published in April 2023 suggested that in a new referendum, nationally, 59% would want to rejoin the EU while only 41% are keen to stay out.

That is quite a turn-around given that in the 2016 Brexit referendum, 52% voted to leave the EU, while 48% voted to remain.

And in 10 years’ time, the numbers will be even more in favour of the EU because, as the CEO of budget airline Ryanair rather bluntly put it…
