The future of technology and trade

This blog will focus on the future of technology and trade, and more specifically how trade will be impacted by the improvement of technology.

Why have I chosen this topic?

I have chosen to research this topic because trade happens every day, it builds economies, and connects the globe. In addition, I chose trade and technology because it relates to my career interests of studying economies and international commerce. It also relates to my philosophy of “team work makes the dream work” because trade requires teamwork and effort from both sides of the deal. Trade can also provide others with items that they could not make or have without the use of trade.

Who would benefit from the findings?

Then, the findings of this research would be beneficial to anyone who studies economics and those who are curious about what technology can do for the future of trade.

What are previous experiences with this topic?

Next, my background of this topic is moderate, but the point of this research blog is to learn more and share the findings throughout the process of discussing how technology will impact trade in the future.

Three questions to answer during research

In continuation, three questions I would like to investigate during this project are, what are the current limitations of global trade? How could technology streamline the process of global trade? How has trade already been improved to work in the economy of today? These questions interest me due to the fact that they provide three keys to how technology can and already has impacted trade.

Skill needed

Next, a skill that would help to prepare myself for this change in trade would most likely be how to communicate professionally, since communication will move to more emails and memos and less face to face.

How would to practice and develop this skill?

Finally, I can begin to practice this skill by writing emails and memos and evaluating how well it gets to the point and maintain a professional tone. Then I can develop my writing skills by remaining formal during written communication and following proper guidelines.
