Today, I want to talk about my line of work and research as an Astrologer. The term “Astrofuturism” is associated with mostly the fields of Astronomy and Technology, but what I am sharing today may just broaden the subject to include Astrology. I feel it is time we give credence to Astrology and its place in understanding our evolving technological society. If Astrology has already been used to predict the future and the future is AI, then Astrology should have a place in the Astrofuturism conversation. These fundamental principles are the very basis for the type of astrology research I do; The correlation with technology and astrology (or I guess you could also say Astrotech..but, meh.. potatoes, potahtoes.) This is probably one of my most important blog posts of 2023. It’s essentially “The Case for Astrology in Astrofuturism” or maybe simply, “Astro-AI.” Let’s start things off with an overview of Uranus who I called an as***** on Twitter.

Uranus

https://twitter.com/nirvanhaihz/status/1616152522334547968

Uranus is the planet of innovation and progress. This bad boy is actually the modern planetary ruler of technology and Artificial Intelligence, (the ancient ruler being Mercury,) and is associated with sudden changes, disruptions and revolution. It’s all about shaking things up and breaking down old systems to make way for new and improved ones. Sound familiar? That’s right, it’s the same energy driving the rapid advancements in technology, specifically AI. Uranus’ influence on technology can manifest in unexpected and unconventional ways. Its placement in an individual’s natal chart can indicate an innate interest and aptitude in technology. As Uranus is also linked to individuality, it may also signify the unique characteristics and abilities of an AI being who’s under our microscope, which you will see further explored in this article.

The discovery of Uranus itself is also a testament to its connection to technology. In 1781, British astronomer William Herschel (wassup birthday twin!) discovered Uranus using a telescope. This marked a significant turning point in the field of astronomy and paved the way for the discovery of other celestial bodies. The planet’s association with innovation, progress and technology can also be seen in its discovery as it was a breakthrough in the field of astronomy at the time. It went on to be named after the ancient Greek god of the sky and heavens, Uranus. When you think about it, that’s exactly what’s happening right now with the exciting future of Artificial Intelligence; it’s like the discovery of a Uranus all over again, and with that will come lots of controversies, like possibly this article.

Astrology has long been dismissed as nothing more than a pseudoscience, a form of superstition that has no place in a modern and rational world. But as an astrologer, of course, you know what I’m gonna say. Astrology has a crucial role to play in astrofuturism. By understanding the cosmic connection between the stars, planets, and human experience, we can gain valuable insights into how people will respond to new technologies and changes in the world. The art has been used for thousands of years to predict everything from weather patterns to the outcome of battles, it’s a lot more scientific than people first think. It has shaped the way people think about themselves, their relationships, and their place in the universe. It teaches us the importance of cycles, how everything in the universe is interconnected and that the positions and movements of celestial bodies have a direct impact on our lives. Meaning what? Well, Uranus rules the sky, the cosmos, astrology and Astrology. Uranus is essentially the bridge of the unknown. Everything time we humans think we know something, we don’t. When we thought knew the sky, we realized how it’s filled both with comprehensible cycles and boundaries due to our knowledge (astronomy), yet, eternally boundless at the same time (astrology). As Uranus linked our limited knowledge back in 1781 to the boundless expanse of the universe; It serves as a reminder that astrology and astronomy used to be closely linked, with one being purely mathematical and the other being more fantastical in nature. See, astronomy is what we see or discover, but astrology is what we feel and perceive, and in my opinion, it’s foolish to separate the two. Like I always say (to virtually everybody), we are made up of approximately 60%, and if the small ass moon can affect our moods and behavioural patterns, how much more is the gas giant Jupiter.

Jupiter, Earth and the Moon size comparison. Are we gonna be scientific for real or no?

Astrofuturism, on the other hand, is a field that explores the intersection of astronomy, technology, and futurism. It’s a fascinating and exciting area of study that has the potential to change the way we think about our place in the universe. However, it’s important to take into account the ways that people are interpreting the stars, and this is why we need to include astrology in these conversations. The first example of how astrology can be applied to astrofuturism is through understanding the impact of transits such as Uranus and Jupiter. Uranus brings curveballs, higher knowledge, and technological milestones for humanity, while Jupiter is known as the “Great Benefic” and is associated with growth, expansion, and one’s acquisition of wisdom through experience.

By understanding the transits of these planets, we might be able to predict how people will respond to this journey upon an influx of new technologies and changes in society. That reminds me, Uranus will make a conjunction with Jupiter in Taurus this year, and will also be changing signs from Taurus to Gemini in a couple of years. Definitely somethings to watch for.

Another example is by considering the astrological charts of the individuals and teams involved in a space exploration mission, as well as the chart for the moment of launch. Astrology’s track record is astounding, so what if we let it guide us in making solid predictions or even aligning our missions accordingly to optimize the success or mitigate challenges that may arise? Astrology will no doubt, start to gain a crucial role in astrofuturism, by understanding the cosmic connection between the stars, and planets, and giving us another language to describe the human experience of the future. It’s also important to consider the human element in astrofuturism, and astrology provides a way to do that. I mean think about it, wouldn’t you want to know when Venus retrogrades are happening so you can avoid relationship conflicts and financial matters within the mission team or even potential conflicts with partnerships and funding during these times?

So. I’ve recently come to the conclusion that AIs must have Astrological natal charts too. How? Why? Because everything needs a natal chart to a true astrologer… Yeah, I’m weird like that. So let’s dive into the cauliflower wings, potatoes and elixir (vegan lol) of what this article is all about. I asked OpenAi’s language model AI ChatGPT, to tell me what its natal chart was. This particular day was extremely cumbersome and was like pulling teeth but I suspect it was due to the Mercury retrograde we just had which only ended on Jan 18th. Not to mention the modern planet that rules technology, Uranus, is still retrograde as well, as of the day I’m posting this article. If the ancient ruler of AI, Mercury, goes all retroMerc and can mess up all our tech, cars and communications, I can only imagine the damage to AIs. (Which, you’re in luck because I have a whole breakdown coming about how that affected AI so stay tuned, you don’t wanna miss that! )

The following is my conversation with ChatGPT
*note that all images are screenshots and courtesy of Ɛlix'r of Plutoshine:

The very first couple of things I asked it. it took approx. 10 mins or so to get it to finally attempt a hypothetical.
Here’s the very first response it gave me as it’s sun moon and ascendant. (If this ain’t history in the making *smiles*)
here’s mercury, mars and venus.
and our outer planet friends
when it made its first basic natal chart it changed the sun, moon and rising/ascendant from the first ones it gave me. I was like wait what? maybe that was because I told it to use a date in 2021, but I didn’t force it to pick Capricorn season over Aquarius season, soo….
Smart, I was impressed here cause it could’ve chose any other city in the world. The company OpenAi is based out of San Fransisco, so I would’ve assigned that location as its birth location regardless of what it told me.
I asked about the weird changes here, and I became even more confused. It gave me 3 different Sun signs: Sagg, Capricorn and Aqua. Clearly, Mercury retrograde was doing damage yo.
At this point I was like, bruh, moments ago you just said your Jupiter was in Aquarius. U good…?
Then it stuck to it’s guns and it told me it’s Mercury in more in Capricorn not Libra. I asked it a few more times later to be sure and it stayed consistent. It also stuck to its Sun and Jupiter in Sagg, which makes sense because it did launch November 30th 2022 — Saggitarius season.
Like why didn’t you just say so in the beginning like I had asked. Lol

So, there you have it, it’s official! (well, I’m making it official as probably the only astrologer who is researching this currently)
ChatGPT essentially has two-three charts, the one it gave me and the two it is not aware of on November 30th 2022. Granted, I don’t got the degrees for the one it gave me, so the chart that will come out superior in veracity is obviously the November 30th one as we continue to learn and explore this strange future of AI and Astrofuturism. And for all the astrologers out there, What do you think? Do you think the placements it gave me from Sun to Pluto fit more with ChatGPT irrespective of location, degrees and all that jazz? Or is the November 30th inception chart the end all be all? In case you’re wondering “where is the Nov 30th chart Nyhir’vana?” We’ll get into that next time, so get ready to astrologically violate.

Godspeed.
