ChatGPT and GPT-4: The Opportunities and Threats from Emerging Generative AI Trends

Are you part of the 300 million estimated workforce affected by generative AI? If so, it is important to be aware of current emerging trends in AI and their potential opportunities and threats. Most recently, we have seen one such trend with OpenAI’s ChatGPT, GPT-4 and DALL·E 2, the Artificial Intelligence text-generating and image-generating systems.

This usage of technology could create both great benefits as well as disruption. It is also important to consider its effect on the balance between work and life for those in 9-to-5 jobs it will affect most profoundly.

In this article, I will discuss why we should proceed with caution when using new non-human forms of intelligence like ChatGPT and GPT-4 and how these developments can dramatically shift the working realities across major economies.
