How ChatGPT Got My Parking Ticket Dismissed
AI can help with many things. For me, it was a municipal infraction.
It was late, and I felt too tired to re-park my car. After an exhausting drive from a busy downtown Toronto to my home in a different city, I had very little energy. You may not know this, but this city is notorious for its severe traffic congestion. Sometimes it takes me 2 hours to get from Toronto to Toronto – yes, I wrote that correctly.
“I’ll re-park the car tomorrow morning at 7 am, – I told myself as I dropped onto my bed. – The parking enforcement isn’t going to come check the street at night.”
News flash: they did.
They came at 3:31 am and issued me a parking ticket. Do those people never sleep? It’s crazy.
I was slightly upset and ready to fight the parking ticket. You see, not only did I feel lazy about re-parking the car, but I was also under the impression that I could, in fact, park in that spot.
