Use Netflix Secret Codes to Find Hidden TV Shows and Films

There’s lots of content in Netflix’s massive library that is hard to find — unless you know the secret codes that make it easy for you to discover what you’re looking for in different genres and sub-genres.

Do you sometimes get frustrated scrolling through the Netflix menu or using the search feature trying to find something good to watch? Other than what the streaming service is prompting you to view based on new offerings they’re promoting or on things you’ve previously watched. To solve this problem, you need to start using Netflix’s hidden codes.

So what are these secret codes? Netflix doesn’t advertise the internal codes they use for classifying its content. However, these codes have leaked out now and are available to use if you know what they are. To access a specific genre (e.g., horror movies) or sub-genre (e.g., B-Horror movies), sign in to Netflix and then put this URL address into your web browser: http://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/and don’t forget to first add a specific four- or five-number Netflix code at the end.

There’s a massive, comprehensive list of genres and sub-genres and associated codes on the ogres-crypt website. However, to get you started, here’s a shorter but still wide-ranging list extracted from the complete list. Be sure to sign in to your Netflix account first.
