If I were a planktophyte in a coral reef

I know no morning, I know no night,
Among the colourful corals, I am the lavender planktophyte.
The red, the yellow, the pink and the blue
Are the buddies, same as me, with whom I grew
Have been glued forever, to deep down earth,
Sometimes I think how would it be to walk
I envy those fishes when they glide
Splashing water all racing with pride
I lead the life of that little girl,
Who's just so happy with her own world
Afraid and shy, though she is
Doesn't talk to many, but to be loved she needs
As she waits for someone who breaks her ice
I wait for some diver, who by entice
Takes me out of the ocean to see the sun bright
