Post photos to Instagram directly from your computer 😺

You don’t always need your smartphone to post to Instagram

If you are someone using instagram and you see a nice photo when you’re browsing the web on your computer. How are you going to post the photo to Instagram?

Well you might think of getting the photo from your computer to your smartphone by email or IM and downloading it and posting it to instagram using the smartphone.

But did you know that there is a small hack that you can do to post photos to instagram from your computer?

1 Go to instagram.com from your computer and login to your account.

2 Press F12 and open the developer console.

3 Press CTRL+Shift+M and change it to mobile view

4 This will change the view of the instagram web page as if you are viewing it from a mobile browser. It looks quite similar to the instagram app.

5 Press the + button as you would normally do in your instagram app.

6 Select the photo from your computer.

7 Select the filter you want to apply.

8 Put your best caption and hashtags.

9 Share to the instagram community.

Sharing as if it is done by the instagram app ;)

There are some downsides to doing this, you won’t be able to crop the photo as you would normally do in the instagram app.

Some functions maybe missing from the effects and you won’t be able to share it to Twitter or Facebook like you would do in the normal app.

But still this is a simple hack to know just in case if you feel like posting something to instagram but your smartphone is not with you.
