We caught up with Hung Lee, CEO and founder of Workshape.io for a chat about the new partnership.
What do you specialise in?
Workshape.io is a recruiting platform for tech startups who need to hire Software engineers. Most of the developers on our platform are web app / mobile app or data engineers mainly languages like JavaScript, Python, PHP, Ruby and Java.
Our big idea is to collect information on what an engineer wants — visualise it — before matching to employers who have compatible job opportunities.
What does a typical day look like for you?
As founder of the business, my day probably feels like the days of a lot of other founders here — high paced, on the edge, always on the go. The work never really ends for a founder a business, so it’s always a trade off between things that have all got to be done — implementing a new piece of software, strategizing with the team, speaking with customers, as well as representing the business in all the places where you need to be.
What is your relationship with Techspace?
We’ve been partners with Techspace since before the first round of funding — I remember having a coffee with Alex (Rabarts, Techspace Co-founder) in Shoreditch when he was building up his engineering team — Techspace were a very early customer of our platform! Of course, we’ve since kept in touch and the growth the business is something we had to continue to support.
What are the goals of partnership?
Techspace and Workshape are providing different solutions to the same audience — we want to help tech startups and scale-ups grow. This partnership should help both our communities connect and gain value from the excellent relationships we have built between our two companies.
