Announcing the Class of Techstars Paris 2017
After months of searching for the best startups in France, Europe and the rest of the world and screening hundreds of applications, I’m excited to announce the 10 companies for the inaugural Techstars Paris class. These elite companies will work at the amazing Partech Shaker startup campus in Paris.
We are grateful for the support of our partners and know that their involvement was a reason many companies applied to our program: Air Liquide, FDJ, Groupama, Renault Group, RCI Bank and Services, and Total.
Techstars Paris attracted entrepreneurs from around the globe — applications from 64 countries, 24% of which came from France. The first class of Techstars Paris Accelerator reflects that diversity of origins with startups coming from California, Portugal, Armenia, Kenya, India, and Luxembourg. Out of 4 French companies, two come from Paris; one from Toulouse and one from Lyon.
The 10 companies joining the program want to launch their product in Europe, and Paris is the place to be when it comes to innovation, quality of the research, quality of engineering, business schools, and level of funding available.
Techstars is the worldwide network that helps entrepreneurs succeed and we can’t do it alone. We’re grateful for the support of our partners and our mentors in Paris and around the world.
