Earlier this year Motorola has launched its new top of the line flagship device, the MOTO EDGE + with a massive price of Rs.74,999 and now Motorola is back with its new budget smartphone the Motorola One Fusion+.It was launched today at 12 PM in India.

Motorola had made budget smartphones in the past and everyone liked the Moto G series upto 3–4 generations but after Google sold Moto to Lenovo ,major portion of the smartphones launched by Motorola were not just up-to the mark and couldn’t compete with other brands like Xiaomi, Realme,Poco,Oppo,Vivo. People were not just buying those phones as they could find a much better smartphone from other brands for the same price. But now with this new smartphone Motorola has absolutely killed it this time.

Design & Display:

The body of this device is made of plastic and it has a really cool looking pattern on the back with a subtle texture which gives a nice feel while holding the device. It comes in 2 different color options Moonlight White and Twilight Blue.

It packs in a 6.5" Full HD+ IPS LCD display, with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and has resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. The display is HDR10 certified. It has considerable amount of bezels on sides, top and a noticeable chin on the bottom. But for that price I can’t really complain.

Hardware & Software:

It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G octa-core processor with Adreno 618 GPU. This enables the user to use the device seamlessly and multitask without any lag. It comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of memory and is expandable upto 1TB with an external microSD card.It has a so called Hi-Fi speaker where Motorola claims that it gives 4x better bass performance. The fingerprint scanner is rear mounted and still has a headphone jack.It has a massive 5000mAh battery and is capable of 15W turbo charging.

It comes with Android 10 straight out of the box.The OS doesn’t have any fancy skins on top of it so its nearly stock looking with the old Moto actions. It has a dedicated voice assistant button mounted on the side which helps the user to access google assistant on the go.

Camera:

It has a quad camera setup on the back. The main camera is a 64MP f/1.8 shooter, which takes crisp images, a 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide with a field of view of 118°, a 5MP f/2.4 macro sensor for macro shots, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor which leads to better portraits. Both the main and ultrawide are electronic image stablizied. It is capable of shooting 4K at 30fps and 1080p at 60fps.

The front facing camera is a mechanical based pop up camera and is a 16MP f/2.2 sensor. It is capable of recording 1080p and 720p at 30fps.

Some of the additional feature include slowmotion videos, timelapses, hyperlapses, portrait shots and has a night mode for better night photography.

The Pricing: The Motorola One Fusion+ is priced at Rs.16,999(aprox $223) and the sale starts on 24th of June 12PM exclusively on Flipkart in India, for that price with those specs this device really stands out and competes neck to neck with other budget smartphones and can be considered as a bang for the buck.
