By all standards, 2016 has been amazing and innovative year when it comes to the world of Technology. Well this may not apply to the players in the tech world anyway.
With a few days before the year comes to and end let take a quick look at some tech companies that had a field day and those that struggled.
1. APPLE’S RELEASE OF IPHONE 7
After several rumors of leaked released date Apple Inc unveiled the iPhone & and iPhone 7 plus on the 7th of September, 2016.
The unveiling was done at San Francisco and this was perhaps the biggest stride in mobile world and in technology by extensions.
Seemingly peerless device weighs 138g and water and dust resistant. Unlike the traditional ear phones, we are used to iPhone 7 has a wireless ear plugs known as air pods.
Despite all these amazing features the iPhone 7 failed to beat its rival Samsung S7 for the T3 phone if the year awards.
2. SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 7's KEEP EXPLODING
The other big name in the mobile industry — Samsung released what was supposed to her latest device, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 following the release of the iPhone 7.
But apparently, as a result of a manufacturing faults the devices are exploding forcing the Company to recall the devices.

3. APPLE AUTHORS PRODUCT BOOK
Returning to Apple Inc, the Californian Company during the last quarter of the year released a $ 300 product book.
The book contains 450 photos of all Apple products ever manufactured.
Titled “Designed by Apple in California is 13”x 16.25” large and it’s dedicated to the memory of Late Steve Jobs.
4. BRIGHT SIMONS GET MICROSOFT APPOINTMENT
Just a few months before the close of the year, Ghanaian Social Innovator and founder of the mPedigree Network, Bright Simons was appointed onto the Microsoft 4Afrika Advisory Council.

5. AIR-SELFIE INNOVATIONS
The world of photography also witnessed a giant step with the invention of portable flying air devices that helps you take selfies.
The devices are a product of Air Selfies Holdings Ltd London.

6. SAMSUNG VS APPLE INC COURT CASES
The rivalry between Apple and Samsung transcends the just technology, the two have been involved in a lot of court cases.
0n the 6th of December this year, a US Supreme Court ruled unanimously for Samsung in a patent battle against apple.
The long battle began way back in 2011 when Apple Inc filed a lawsuit against Samsung for infringing on its iPhone iconic design.
This is the first time the South Korean Based Company has won a court case against Apple.
7. FACEBOOK INTRODUCES 360 VIDEOS
Just before the second half of the almost faded year, Mark Zuckerberg and his team added another astonishing feature.

8. FACEBOOK ADDS FACEBOOKLIVE FEATURE
Somewhere in the year 2016, Facebook, probably following Twitter’s lead(Periscope) introduced the live streaming feature that allows its users to upload unfiltered and unedited real-time videos by the push of a red button
9. APPLE VS FBI
Among one of the most impactful stories of 2016 is the court battle between the FBI and Apple as a result of the latter’s refusal to allow the FBI to hack an iPhone belonging to a former terrorist.
At the end of the battle the FBI had to back down since Apple refused to succumb to pressure.

10. UBER SELF DRIVING CARS
Finally, another story of technological regard worth noting is the invention of autonomous vehicles.
However, it may take some years before fully autonomous vehicles without drivers may be allowed to ply our streets.
Nonetheless, their invention wasn’t a small feat in itself.
