On Dec. 28th 2018, the trusted computing platform TEEX announced a new collaboration with Ontology, a new high-performance public blockchain project & a distributed trust collaboration platform. TEEX and Ontology have teamed up on blockchain security to augment Ontology underlying technology with TEEX security enhancement solutions, in order to guarantee privacy-preserving of on-chain data as well as secure key management for user clients.

Using TEEX Layer-2 privacy-preserving computing solutions, TEEX and Ontology aim to build a secure and convenient private contract execution environment (PCEE) that fully protects the privacy and security of on-chain data during the execution process. Meanwhile, PCEE ensures the profits of both normal computing nodes and trusted nodes. Moreover, Ontology’s client apps such as ONTO, Owallet. will be equipped with TEE to prevent users’ credentials from the data breach, and further protect the safety of the user’s asset.

“TEEX has been dedicated to a comprehensive and general-purpose solution for trusted computing, and Ontology focuses on the technology of public blockchain and construction of its ecosystem,” said Ryan Yu, co-founder of TEEX. “This collaboration will establish the first Mainnet that supports high-performance and general-purpose privacy-preserving computing platform. It’s a revolutionary innovation that breaks the performance bottlenecks and security pitfalls of existing blockchain systems, enabling seamless migration of traditional applications to blockchain platforms, also laying a solid foundation for the real landing of blockchain in artificial intelligence (AI), biomedical, and financial fields.”

Xianping Mao, the dean of the Ontology Research Institute said, “Blockchain is essentially an open system in which anyone can query data through a public interface. Smart Contracts are carriers of blockchain applications, while both security and privacy of the data involved in smart contracts require protection. TEEX has a deep understanding of security technology, especially trusted computing. The ontology will work with TEEX on blockchain security technology like Private Smart Contracts, powering Ontology Network System with trusted computing functional chains, and providing users with a blockchain system that offers secure, convenient and efficient privacy smart contract ecosystem.”

About TEEX

TEEX is a distributed trusted computing platform, which aims to establish a decentralized, flexible and easy-to-use computing resource sharing platform and complete ecosystem for users, computing power providers and service providers. TEEX uses a verifiable computing strategy based on Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) to ensure the privacy of data flow and control flow during runtime while providing performance and compatibility comparable to a central computing platform. TEEX has now engaged in deep collaborations with partners in areas including artificial intelligence, big data computing, and biomedical care.

TEEX team members are from the top domestic academic scientific research group, with a background of nearly a decade of TEE and system security. The team are also experienced in entrepreneurial and landing and has successfully applied TEE solutions to mobile platforms, with nearly hundreds of millions of mobile devices deployment.

About Ontology

Ontology is a new high-performance public blockchain project & a distributed trust collaboration platform. Ontology provides new high-performance public blockchains that include a series of complete distributed ledgers and smart contract systems. Ontology blockchain framework supports public blockchain systems and is able to customize different public blockchains for different applications. Ontology supports collaboration amongst chain networks with its various protocol groups. Ontology will constantly provide common modules on the underlying infrastructure for different kinds of distributed scenarios, such as those for the distributed digital identity framework, distributed data exchange protocol, and so on. Based on specific scenario requirements, Ontology will continue to develop new common modules.
