Dr. Karisiddappa

Dr. Karisiddappa is the Vice Chancellor of Visvesvaraya Technological University, Bangalore. He has over 34 years of teaching and research experience in the field of Structural Engineering. His journey began with a PhD from IIT Roorkee, Uttarakhand and an M.Tech from IIT Madras. He has held various positions across his career including Principal of Government Engineering College, Hassan, Assistant Engineer in PWD and as a lecturer at Adichunchanagiri Institute of Technology, Chikmagalur. Dr. Karisiddappa has published 47 research papers in both International and National Journals, covering subject areas of concrete technology, finite element analysis and structural stability. He has guided over 34 M.Tech candidates and about 40 batches of B.E. students for their dissertation. He holds membership in several professional bodies such as Fellow Institution of Engineers, Indian Society for Technical Education and Indian Society of Wind Engineering among others. He aims to create an exciting and supportive learning environment that transforms engineering students and inspires them to work for the development of society. We are honoured to have him at TEGS.
