Why prices for some items not displayed on the site ?

Some of our vendors do not allow us to publish the prices for certain products. They have the policy of publishing a “list price” and then give discount to customers considering many factors. We are not putting out the “list prices” on the site because it has no relevance to actual customers, the list price is actually outrageously high and customer would consider not buying the product.
For example, a 24 port Cisco Catalyst 2960 POE switch costs approximately QR-3900 in our store, but the list price is QR-8500. Would you consider buying the switch if we display latter price ?
