Announcement: Joining Tektorch.ai as Head Of Sales Engineering

For over a month now, I have been leading the sales engineering efforts at Tektorch.ai. I am excited and happy to announce officially that I am head of sales engineering and marketing at Tektorch.ai.

What is Tektorch.ai?

Tektorch.ai is a boutique development firm based out of Sydney, Australia with deployed solutions and clientele in USA, Australia, India and Europe. We specialize in AI and Data solutions.

Most notably our expertise lies in NLP, IoT Analytics, Computer Vision, Prediction and Classification, Autonomous Reinforcement Learning and Robotic Process Automation. We have Blockchain capabilities and have built many Scalable Web solutions for clients too.

What is Sales Engineering?

Sales Engineering is a function that requires a healthy blend of technical acumen and soft-skills. I think it’s important to have a customer/user-centric mindset backed by domain knowledge. This role needs design skills, technical acumen, empathy and entrepreneurial skills.

A sales engineer works with clients to understand their needs and businesses, recommends/architects custom solutions that match their needs. Solutions which will bring them significant business impact.

Further based on market data, she/he also comes up with and suggests innovations and product ideas internally to your firm and externally to clients. It is a heavily entrepreneurial role and that is what I enjoy most about it!

How do my experiences help me in this role?

I have been a business-focused engineer for many years. I think impact in business, social good should be motivators for innovations. AI allows for these to be met which led to my interest in this role.

About 40% of my post-graduate education at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign revolved around Human-Computer Interaction and included topics such as cyber-physical human systems, user-interface design, graphics, scientific viz, AR/VR giving me good experience in user-centric thinking and design principles. While the remaining 60% revolved around real-time systems, operating systems and text mining giving me implementation chops.

After graduation I took a dive into the startup world, and very early understood that there are many startups that can build, but not sell. And the opposite was true as well. However, startups that could do both were growing at a rapid pace. I wanted to combine these two sides in the right proportion and that was the reason behind the genesis of my firm, Aten Ventures LLC. Through the experiences working on my project I gathered the skills, networks and most importantly mindset (in a fairly short span) to work with a phenomenal team like Tektorch.ai, and to help them succeed. I am excited about my role and working with the team.

And updates from Aten Ventures LLC?

I am actively building the ecosystem and accelerating a few startups, at the moment. We have a phenomenal advisory board which will be a long-term asset. We are amidst raising funds for our hybrid fund which will combine trading and venture-building activities. Interestingly, we are partnering with Tektorch.ai for our AI and Data needs which will help us build a profitable venture, and keep human-bias out of the equation through data-driven decisions!
