Why we’re bringing Adrian onboard as our COO
Hi Team,
I’m happy to announce that Adrian Loretz will be joining #TeamTeleport as our Chief Operating Officer (COO) officially starting Oct 1. He joins us after 10 years at Unilode, where he was the Managing Director of the Asia-Pacific region based out of Bangkok. When lockdown lifts (fingers crossed soon), he will be able to relocate to Kuala Lumpur.
The Teleport mission is to build a modern logistics infrastructure that delivers across Southeast Asia in under 24 hours.
Our core cargo network is so key to this — enabling us to make delivery simple, fast and affordable. But over the last few months as we have expanded into many new opportunities, I have struggled to be close to the leadership in each country and key functions like Revenue Management, Air Operations, Load Planning, Customer Care and Standards. We have outgrown my ability to be near to the action, and it deserves an experienced and thoughtful builder: someone that will continue our bold digital ambitions (did you know he originally studied Computer Science), help us connect other like-minded airlines to the network (through our digital cargo platform, Freightchain), and a strong commercial strategist for our cargo teams on the ground in each market. Now more than ever as COVID-19 has changed everything we thought we knew, Adrian will bring focus and clarity to help us navigate through a long and uncertain recovery ahead.
I have got to know Adrian (virtually) over the last few months and was impressed with how thoughtful and approachable, yet direct and results-focused he is. He is passionate about our mission, and our values, especially building trust to empower the team. His words:

Adrian enjoys traveling, diving, Muay Thai and seeing his two kids in his native Switzerland as often as possible.
