Teleport Media took the prize of the Rhinos Accelerator 2021
A new leader of the national technological initiative!
On Friday 26th Teleport Media team with its project “Accelerating CDN Content Delivery” was among the winners of the Rhinos Accelerator, taking second place among 17 teams. The jury included representatives from Sibur-Khimprom, Severstal, Metafrax, FRII, ER-Telecom, Sberbank, the Skolkovo Foundation, and other Perm and Russian companies and corporations.
The Rhinos Accelerator, a national technological initiative is an innovative educational and consulting course for technological companies and IT- startups of the Perm Territory launched in December 2020. Its global goal is to provide tech companies with such necessary tools and methodologies, to teach how to work with them, and to organize expert support to ensure accelerated revenue growth up to 500 million rubles or more per year.
Andrey Klimenko, CEO and co-founder of Teleport Media, even before the winners were announced, said that his company had already won by passing the Accelerator:
"The experts and trackers of Rhinos gave us the methodology and system, it helped us find many new contacts, which will expand our opportunities in marketing and sales in the future,” Andrey said. “We have learned a lot, dispelled some illusions, and now we have an understanding of how to go from revenue of 1 million rubles to revenue of 500 million rubles".
Andrey explained that the backbone of the team has been working for 10 years in the market of anti-piracy solutions and media content delivery technologies. All this time, Teleport Media has set itself big goals: to grow and develop the technology, to provide Internet broadcasts of the largest world championships, to work with such giants as Netflix, SKY, Discovery, DAZN, to develop new niches together with partners like Bitmovin, and to enter the largest foreign markets of China, the USA, and Latin America.
Teleport Media provides player-side decentralized delivery services across live and on-demand streaming and helps deliver video content at scale and at the highest possible bitrate to end consumers. Coupled with external CDNs or integrated into a multi-CDN infrastructure Teleport Media helps to reduce the traffic consumption of all CDNs by 50–80%, thereby saving up to 40% of the video delivery budget.
