Don’t you hate it when this happens…

When you have to sit alone in class.

This is not my lecture hall…

Picture this.

Your day has 2 consecutive classes, one in the morning and another one in the afternoon right after. You have people to sit with in the morning class but when afternoon class comes, those people are nowhere to be found.

And to make things even worse. You know people — albeit, not very well — who are in your first class and also in the next one. They always sit together in a long row. Frankly, as the guy who came to class alone, I’d prefer sitting behind them so I don’t feel their judgmental laserbeams come down on me. But it doesnt work this time. They’re sitting in the back row.

Oh, god. Okay, it’s fine, we can do this

I make my nervous self walk down the steps of the quite class as the lecturer went on, looking for an empty seat that has nobody sitting on either side.

Let’s face it, if you were sitting in a group of 4 or 5 and some random dude sits next to the 1st or 5th person. It’s weird, isn’t it?

Anyways, I’m just writing this now because — you guessed it — that’s the predicament that I’m in. As I type this out on my phone I realise something that makes me feel even more weird (not to mention alone), one of my groupmates from the morning class is sitting 2 seats beside me… and I don’t even know her name. It’s too late to say hi now anyways.

In the end I just left and went home during the break. Like a ninja. Unseen and Unheard. Life of an introvert, I guess.

I hope you enjoyed this relatively boring post. I thought it’d be fun to write about what goes on in the mind during awkward situations.

I you enjoyed this post or found it funny, recommend it and share it around. Thanks!
