Following Up: Blockchain Europe Expo 2019
Last month, the Telos Foundation participated as a Silver Sponsor of the Blockchain Expo Europe 2019 in Amsterdam. The event was attended by more than 5,000 people. The Telos Foundation sponsorship included hosting a booth that was often crowded. Three Telos Foundation board members were able to assist and answer attendee questions, including Suvi Rinkin, Richard Bryan Erikodi and Jim Hewitt . Also serving the Telos efforts were block producer representatives Ville Sundell of Cryptosuvi (Finland), Douglas Horn of Goodblock (USA), and Luis Meijueiro and Pablo Coca of The Teloscope (Spain).
“My experience was wonderful, beginning with meeting Douglas, Jim, Suvi, Richard and Ville, who share the same passion about the Telos Blockchain future. The interaction with the people who visited our booth was really satisfying; for the visitors, as they could witness real solutions for their industry, and also for me, seeing different use cases opened my mind to new possible applications.” Luis Meijueiro, The Teloscope said after the event.
The Telos Foundation premiered several proof-of-concepts to demonstrate real world use cases for the Telos Blockchain, including a blockchain controlled safe, built by Proxibots. The potential uses for this cryptographically controlled locking mechanism range from small safes to enterprise level hotel room key access.
Douglas Horn, who wrote the Telos Whitepaper and is founder of the block producer and developer team known as Goodblock, spoke at the event about blockchain solutions for business and how the most important business needs are met by the Telos Blockchain Network. Horn also served on an event panel regarding blockchain solutions for business with representatives from Hugo Boss, Carrefour, Dietmann, and McKinsey.
After the event, Horn said, “Our participation in the Amsterdam Blockchain Expo marked a new chapter for Telos. Previously, we could see that enterprise businesses wanted the fast, high capacity, sustainably decentralized network that Telos uniquely offers, but we lacked the avenue that most needed in order to take advantage of it. In Amsterdam, however, the Telos booth was not only able to show several exciting proofs of concept applications, but we also had Telos Blockchain Solutions, ltd that is able to deliver the type of services that many potential Telos users require.”
