Telos Governance — Voting Open — sTLOS EVM Single Asset Staking APR & Unstake Timer
Good day to all community members!
Last week, we informed TLOS holders that single-asset staking would soon be available to stake their tokens and provide liquidity (and stability) for the Telos EVM for an attractive APR. You can read more about that announcement here.
Today, we are informing all TLOS holders that the governance vote on APR distribution and the Unstake Timer is now open. The two polls linked at the end of this article are the foundation for submitting the main governance proposal next week. Please note that we will add governance-related considerations into the more significant vote, ensuring a healthy governance system. In addition, we will improve the MVP implementation of sTLOS based on our initial experiences and community feedback.
The following is a quick refresher on what our community will vote on:
Reward distribution REX/sTLOS
At present, the approximate 13% rewards are distributed solely to REX. We ask that our community vote on the allocation percentage of these funds between Telos Native REX and sTLOS tEVM. The proposed percentages to be voted on are (REX/sTLOS): 50/50, 55/45, and 60/40.
Unstake Timer
We ask that our community vote on the sTLOS unstake timer for sTLOS to determine the minimum number of days required to unstake tokens. The options to be voted on are five days, seven days, ten days, and fifteen days.
Please note that the native REX 4-day maturity timer will remain unchanged.
