Our Mission NFT contest is off to a fantastic start, and the Telos team is thrilled to welcome submissions from many talented digital creators. If you haven’t yet participated and are planning to, please take some time to carefully read through this article to learn about important tips to ensure your project is properly submitted and has a better chance of success.

Tip 1: Proper Format

We ask that artists send properly formatted files of their artwork and specs for how your layers are written out. All images should be sent in .PNG format and a scheme that lays out the layers (i.e., Background, body, face, head, etc….), preferably in a .doc. We ask all 3D artists participating in the Mission NFT contest to provide video samples of their work with .MP4 files. Lastly, all files should be sent in a zipped folder to the following email address: thebiggooey@telosfoundation.io.

Tip 2: Originality Is a Must

We want to clarify to contest hopefuls that all submissions will be thoroughly vetted to ensure there is no plagiarism of existing NFT projects or digital artwork. Should we find your work too closely resembles that of another artist or creator, your submission will be rejected without the chance for appeal.

Tip 3: Submit an Artist Statement Text or Video

Part of what separates Telos from other networks is our community-centric ethos. We want to know more about what motivates developers to join our ecosystem. We ask all participants to send a personalized video or written statement with their submission that describes the details of what the project is about and why they want to build on Telos. We’re also curious to know what artists will do with the winning prize money. Finally, a disclaimer is required that allows us to use your video statements in promotional advertising.

Tip 4: Keep it Tasteful

While artists have the freedom to express themselves as they see fit, for the purposes of this contest, under no circumstances will designs that feature profane imagery be accepted. We ask that creators revise their artwork before submitting it to ensure the images are not offensive or distasteful. If your project contains explicitly offensive or obscene designs, your submission will be rejected without the chance for appeal.

Tip 5: Spread the Word

The public voting round will determine which of the top 20 projects advance to our final voting round. Therefore, it’s essential to bring as much attention to the contest as possible, so make sure you do your best to inform your community about your submission and ask them to vote for you via the TaiKai Network.

We are thrilled to welcome all aspiring and current digital artists to our inaugural Mission NFT contest and wish all participants the best of luck. We intend to make the process of creating NFT art as accessible and streamlined as possible because Telos firmly believes NFTs will play a pivotal role in the crypto environment and our lives more broadly.

Mission NFT is a challenge that opens the doors to creators and brings daring new artistic work to the market. We’re ready to build a better future for the NFT market and all of Defi, and we’re honored that you have chosen to join us.
