TEMCO’s blockchain based supply chain platform, B-Link is a service that manages the entire process from production to distribution and consumption of specific products such as food and industrial products using blockchain technology that cannot be forged or altered.
The first applied item is pork sold at the supermarket ‘GS The Fresh’. Consumers scan the QR code printed on the pork label for country of origin information, livestock product history number, HACCP certification information, and processing company information.
At first, TEMCO and GS Retail conducted a B-Link application test for the GS’s fruit brand ‘Sanjiae Apple’ at GS Shop, a home shopping mall. GS Retail made it possible for consumers to check the producer and production area, temperature and humidity graphs during cultivation and storage warehouse temperature, and videos on the product selection site through QR codes. As a result of B-Link application, apple sales increased by 27% compared to the last 4 episodes during the 4th episode.
B-Link is expected to be applicable not only to food, but also to all products that require safety and reliability in the entire process from production to distribution and consumption.
