Simply call him abuelo: Featured Student Essay

One of the first students to approach me after I arrived at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine was Tim McKinley, now a third year student, who wanted to write about an experience with his father. Tim was a busy medical student, but worked hard on this narrative, did a beautiful job, and submitted it to the journal Neurology, which published it in its February, 2018 issue. This is a photo of Tim and his father, at Tim’s wedding, which will have more context and significance once you read the story. Congratulations, Tim!
