Internship Review: ฝึกงาน 2 เดือนกับ JOOX ทีม Branding

สวัสดีค่ะ เราชื่อ แพร เป็นนักศึกษาจาก University of Minnesota เมเจอร์ Finance เราได้มาฝึกงานที่บริษัท Tencent ในช่วงปิด summer ของมหาลัยตอนปีสองขึ้นปีสาม ในแผนก Branding and communication จะมาเล่าประสบการณ์ที่ได้ให้ทุกคนฟังค่ะ \ (•◡•) /

เราฝึกงานในแผนก branding and communication ของ JOOX โดยมีพี่จูเนียร์ พี่ธัช และ พี่นุชชี่ เป็น mentor ให้ค่ะ งานส่วนใหญ่ที่ทำ จะเป็นงาน analyze data (เราได้ลองดู data ของ social media advertisement กับ ASO ค่ะ) โดยเราใช้ excel เพื่อที่จะได้ insight อะไรใหม่ๆที่น่าสนใจ และสามารถเอาไปต่อยอดเป็น marketing campaign หรือ strategies ต่อไปได้ค่ะ โดยหลังจากวิเคราะห์แล้วก็จะนำกราฟ หรือตารางของข้อมูลมาทำเป็น presentation เพื่อมาพรีเซ้นให้พี่ mentors ฟัง เพื่อฟัง feedback ค่ะ

แต่เพื่อนๆคนไหนที่ฟังคำว่า excel แล้วเตรียมตัววิ่งหนี ก็ไม่ต้องกังวลไปนะคะ! ก่อนเรามาฝึกงานเราก็ทำไม่ค่อยเป็นค่ะ เคยเรียนมานิดหน่อยแต่ก็ไม่เคยทำแบบจริงจังเลย ._. แต่พอฝึกงานแล้วรู้สึกว่าทำ excel เก่งขึ้นเยอะเลย พี่ๆ mentor ก็ช่วยสอน อธิบายให้เข้าใจ คิดว่าโชคดีมากที่สามารถใช้ excel ได้ เป็น skill ที่ดีมากๆเลยค่ะ และนอกเหนือจากงาน excel แล้วก็ยังมีงานเกี่ยวกับ market research, digital marketing tools ต่างๆด้วย

สิ่งที่ appreciate มากๆคือ พี่ๆทุกคนใจดีและใจเย็นมากๆ คอยสอนงาน อธิบาย และ make sure ว่าเราเข้าใจ ให้ถามได้ตลอดไม่ว่าจะเป็นคำถามเล็กน้อยแค่ไหน และนอกเหนือจากงานที่ทำแล้ว พี่ๆก็คอยแนะนำเรื่องเรียน ประสบการณ์ ชีวิต เล่านู่นนี้ให้ฟัง ได้รู้อะไรใหม่ๆอีกเยอะเลยค่ะ ฉะนั้นสำหรับใครที่อยากมาฝึกที่นี่ รับรองไม่ผิดหวังแน่ๆค่ะ :)

Hello all! My name is Prae, a rising junior from University of Minnesota majoring in Finance. I have spent my sophomore summer interning at Tencent Thailand in Branding and Communication Department. A truly valuable and enjoyable experience which I will share with you all today \ (•◡•) /

I was interning in JOOX Branding and communication (aka Marketing) Department under P’Tatch, P’Junior, and P’Nuichy supervision. Most of my work is related to data analytic, using Microsoft Excel to extract findings or insight. Then, I will do presentation slides to share those findings and ideas with my mentors, which is mainly a brainstorming/discussing session for me to get feedback and learn from them. Apart from excel-related work, I also have touched on some market research and other digital marketing tools, which is also an amazing opportunity for me to learn more about marketing despite my Finance major.

I am truly impressed by how supportive and caring people at Tencent are. Every time I have questions no matter how trivial they are, everyone always gives 100% effort answering my questions and makes sure I understand everything clearly. They also give genuine and helpful advice regarding my career paths, which really help clarify my major decision.

So, don’t hesitate to apply. You will gain so many experiences :)
