Do you watch tennis all the time? If you do, TennisKeeper has a new Live Match Tracking feature that can make your tennis watching more focus and fun.

Tennis parents, coaches and teams can use Live Match Tracking to track their kids, students or teammates scores point-by-point from the sidelines. After logging the match, they can analyze the stats to identify areas for improvement. Tennis fans can watch their match on TV and get the performance stats of their favourite players.

To begin, add a live match, indicate if it is singles or doubles, and choose the match format. You can select easy or detail shot type tracking. If you choose detail shot type tracking, you will need to identify each shot type when you record a shot.

Add a Live Match

Start tracking point by point by tapping on one of the action buttons: Ace, Fault, Winner or Error. For doubles match, tap on the player name to identify the player that made the winner or error shot.

Automated Score Tracking

If you select detail shot type tracking, for each winner or error, you will need to identify the shot type and indicate if it is forehand or backhand.

Identify Winner or Error Shot Type

TennisKeeper will calculate the running status for your players. At any point in time, tap on Stats and you can see the Service, Return and Summary Stats of each player.

Match Stats

You can review the history of the match point by point. You can see the player that made the winning shot and the time.

Match Timeline

To help you learn more about the shot type and point outcomes, we provide interactive visualizations.

The first one is a scatter chart that shows relationship between each game and winners shot by each player. As you know sometimes the scores (e.g. 6–1, 6–1) may not reflect how close the game was. Looking at the point won by each player may give you better insights.

Points Won in Each Game By Each Player

The second one is a donut chart that shows the shot type breakdown (e.g. volley, lob, forehand, backhand, winners, errors) for the selected player.

Give it a try and let me know what additional charting may be useful. If you can track it, we can analyze it.
