The life of any developer will always be related to writing code, fixing issues, a lot of trial and error, and building solutions. But, one thing that is not always mentioned is, the large amount of time developers spend on reading and going through big piles of technical documentation.

As a developer, you’ll find yourself trying to learn new stuff very frequently. That could mean that you’re working with third-party APIs, learning how to use a new SDK, or even working on complex integrations with someone else’s platform, technology, or product.

At times, this could feel like you are starting all over again. You’ll need to read a lot of new, overwhelming, and sometimes even dull documentation; just to try and understand if this is the right fit for you and your implementation. This could take a while and, in the end, you could end up without the expected results.

Time is money and developers are always looking for time efficiency when digesting technical documentation. That’s why Getting started guides, tutorials, How-Tos, and other similar material is important to empower builders by getting their hands dirty and learning rapidly so they can continue on their journey of creating new and amazing things but most importantly, get things done.

At Teradata we know this and, that’s why we have a dedicated website for Getting Started on Teradata’s offerings. We believe in creating the right balance between giving enough information to engage users and giving access to get you up and running ASAP.

With that in mind, quickstarts.teradata.com offers a public-facing library with an open community approach where anyone can request and/or contribute to the website content.

It already provides tons of material from How-Tos and tutorials to common tasks like using JDBC, dbt, and Mulesoft. You’ll also find source code examples and even demos from real use cases that will help you get the most out of Teradata’s products in no time.

We invite you to visit quickstarts.teradata.com and try the material there, you’ll be surprised. We hope you like it, feel free to share your feedback and stay tunned for more updates.
