In November, we celebrated a number of exciting milestones: CHAI’s monthly payment volume surpassing 100 BILLION KRW, the launch of Uniswap-like AMM DEX Terraswap, and $UST listing on KuCoin as a quote currency, to name a few. Without further ado, let’s dive into the rest of the updates.
➗ CHAI Updates
November marks a milestone for Terra’s dapp — CHAI has crossed the 100 billion KRW threshold in payment volume across nearly 3 million transactions this past month alone. With CHAI topping dapp rankings for some time now, we are expectant of continual upward trajectory — keeping mass adoption at the forefront, always.

⚖️ Terraswap Launch
Uniswap-inspired Terraswap AMM DEX was launched by longstanding Terra validator, DELIGHT LABS. Terraswap is significant not simply because it enhances Terra’s stability mechanism and affords Terra users the opportunity to generate yield as liquidity providers (though these are undoubtably exciting developments), but primarily because of the possibilities it opens up for a new generation of DeFi applications to be built on the Terra blockchain. 🍴 Upcoming Soft Fork
The Terra ecosystem has begun the process of a soft fork migration to Core@v0.4.1 to provide improved support for Terra smart contracts and dApps scheduled to ship in 2021. Developers can look forward to contract execution and query speed 100x faster than in v0.4.0.
🌎 Terra Station Chrome Extension
Terra Station is now available as a Chrome extension.
🌄 Lunie Sunsetting
Lunie has began sunsetting its product suite from last week, November 23. We recommend Lunie users to migrate to Terra Station. Please keep in mind that you don’t need to undelegate to successfully complete the migration process. If you have any questions, reach out to help@lunie.io.
📈 UST Listed on KuCoin
TerraUSD (UST) is now listed on KuCoin as a quote currency! To celebrate this milestone, we’re joining forces with KuCoin to host two trading events:
- Zero Maker Fee Campaign: Users have the opportunity to enjoy trading all $UST pairs with 0 Maker fees and discounted Taker fees for one month (Nov. 23 — Dec. 23, 2020).
- $UST Trading Competition: Over this week-long (Nov. 25 — Dec. 2, 2020) competition, the top 30 users with the highest trading volume are rewarded from a pool of $20,000, with the first place being eligible for $1,800.

🌎 Ecosystem Updates
🤝 Kadena Partnership
Terra is partnering with J.P. Morgan’s hybrid blockchain platform Kadena to bring Terra stablecoins to Kadenaswap, further expanding Terra stablecoin access. We look forward to the growth resulting from this partnership.
🔭 Figment Network — Hubble Feature
Terra validator Figment Network has built an excellent transaction search feature on Hubble, which provides not only detailed access to events, but also individualized income reports.
Additionally, Figment has built out Datahub for developers, which provides full node infrastructure, granting direct access to Tendermint’s RPC and Terra’s REST APIs. Relying on Datahub’s solid infrastructure, developers can focus on building on Terra.

As our validators play a critical role in safeguarding the security of the Terra Network, we wanted to take a moment to welcome the newest members of our validator ecosystem: MANTRA DAO, Nodeasy, huobipool, mainnet-validator, and node-x!

Co-founder and CEO Do Kwon sits down with Martin Baumann and Charlie Morris of CMCC Global to break down how Terra stablecoins achieve price stability and what gives Terra its competitive edge.
