Terrae #6: Development Update

As some of you may know, we started developing Terrae in the last quarter of 2021. Since then our team has grown from 4 people to 10 and counting ✨
Each member is actively working to bring you the most unique experience in GameFi; from quests that will keep you entertained to a financial ecosystem that’ll bring you both satisfaction and profits in the time that you spend here.
A ton of big things are planned for the future of Terrae, and we expect to see a lot of new Terranians that want to share this experience with us 🧙
Without further ado let’s get to the matter at hand: UPDATES!
-Wen DEX? 🤔
In short, the core idea behind Terrae is to elaborate and sustain a middle-earth related GameFi environment in which the governance token has real use besides selling. But sadly, and against our own wishes, it takes time and a lot of hard work to develop.
That being said: We’ve already finished up all the necessary coding for the smart contracts and deployed the Denaris token last month. That, in addition to our newest members in the dev team, should put us a little ahead of schedule with the deployment of the Terrae DEX, in which you’ll be able to buy, sell and stake $DENI in the DENI/MATIC pools.
Our DEX is set to be live in March of 2022.
-Gameplay phase 0 and phase 1 teaser ⚔
In the early stages of gameplay newcomers will make their character and choose a name, then they’ll get introduced to the status of the Terrae conflict in an intro with lore and information about what’s currently happening. During this phase players will be able to trade $DENI and stake it in Terrae Houses using various interactive buildings. This is what the team calls “Phase 0” and it’ll be the first step that users will take in Terrae.
Shortly after Phase 0, Phase 1 of gameplay will come along and we’ll be introducing Commanders NFTs and a resource management system that will be the core element in which future content will rely on. We can’t share much with you beyond Phase 1 since it’s heavily subject to change, but here’s a little clue about what you can expect to see in the future of Terrae 😉
-First NFT Collection 🎴
As mentioned above, Commanders will be NFTs that’ll have different uses in Terrae. For the first collection we’ll be launching 10.000 human race NFTs equipped with distinctive faces, hairstyle, armors and weapons. All Commanders have different primary and secondary stats that’ll have an impact on their performance during quests, meaning that you’ll be able to use different Commanders in different scenarios to maximize your chances of success. This adds value to each of them as some may be more fitted to do certain tasks than others, you’ll need to keep an eye on that 👀
