Not only did I have the pleasure of speaking at Julie Gordon White’s 4th annual Symposia (this year at the gorgeous W Hotel in San Francisco), but I got to listen and learn from some inspiring women. I took a few notes and decided to share them with you.

  1. Listen to your intuition (this was a recurring theme throughout several of the talks) and trust your heart.
  2. Take risks. And then take more risks.
  3. Relationships matter. Connect with people and stay connected.
  4. Listen to your customer.
  5. Treat your clients how you want to be treated.
  6. Self care is important and cannot be ignored.
  7. Do not underestimate the power of a/your tribe.
  8. There is power in intention.
  9. Ask yourself this question: are you going to be successful or not?
  10. Whatever you seek is seeking you.
  11. If you want to learn something, work for free. Once you add a paycheck, you add expectations.
  12. If you are trying to get somewhere, find someone who is doing what you want to be doing and ask them how they got there.
  13. Ask for help.
  14. Hire people you want to hang out with.
  15. Raise your rates and/or, charge the same price and cut your deliverables in half.
  16. You will never know until you take action.

Such a great opportunity to learn and share in a beautiful setting designed specifically with women in mind from the stage to the tables to the food. Julie did a great job in bringing together a diverse group of women dedicated to being successful entrepreneurs. I look forward to next year and to putting some of the above items into practice.
