Tick Tock Tick Tock: PYL In-Flight: Oct 19, 2021
Welcome Back My Tick Tocking Passengers:

While my Co-Star repeatedly says that every day is a challenging day for routine, I am endeavoring to take steps each day to find one.
Lately, rather than focusing on my daily routine, I am working on the weekly activities, like this newsletter and my twice weekly YouTube videos. I have to start somewhere.

Last week we released three new videos including Four Months in Five Minutes, Get the Balance Right (along the same lines of last week’s In-Flight), and Dodging Divorce. This week we released What’s the Secret? (Dodging Divorce part 2) and Saturday we will release the third in the Dodging Divorce series. We are trying to make Sundays and Thursdays our primary recording days where we record two to three videos at a time.
But it’s hard. So damn hard. To get into and maintain a routine even though I know I need it. Last week I talked about getting the balance right and for me, regaining balance and reclaiming my time starts with routine.
It starts with putting me first, despite all of the demands of my work, which I’ve always put first.
This means waking up a little earlier (which is a challenge here in the northern hemisphere where it’s still dark at 6 AM) to make sure I do my 20 minutes of Duolingo, meditate for 5 minutes, write in my journal for 20 minutes (morning pages), and write down my three gratitudes.
And it means getting on the mat for 10 minutes of yoga with Kassandra right after I get out of bed, pee, and put my contact in.

I start most of my days at 7 AM with my new business colleague on the east coast so to get all of this in, and some snuggle time with Zeke, I’m setting my alarm for 5:45 AM. Beginning….now!

I wonder if Co-Star will believe me and stop saying that I have trouble with routine.
Now to address the challenges with creativity and thinking that keep popping up in the app! (yes, it’s silly but it’s fun, especially when I have my east coast colleague check his, which he really does not want to do)

Enough about me, what about you? How are you doing with your routines? Struggling? Never missed a beat? How do you routines help you or do you resist them at all costs? Drop me a line and let me know.
With much love and gratitude,
Terri
P.S. Take the controls and be the pilot in your own life. It’s a beautiful day to fly, and you are cleared for takeoff.
