Sometimes unexpected things happen at home
Since yesterday I have been grappling with water in my home. It is strange but I sat down to look at some stories after lunch yesterday and I felt water rushing under my feet.
Where is the water coming from? I don’t know. I got up to see and what did I find? Water in my bedrooms, lobby, living room, and office.
There was no sign of rain anywhere that water had sneaked in somehow. In fact, it was sunny and bright.
I started taking out water. With a broom and a viper in my hand, I started working. However, I found more and more water seeping in.
I called out to some helpers from the neighborhood and several people came and began to take the water out. It was a strange sight.
I started looking for the blockage area and I finally found the water oozing out from a drain pipe. How did this happen? I saw that the water pump which is automatic and the water keeps on going up was probably on because some control switch was not working. I ran and switched it off.
The water did not stop. Now what to do? I called a drain cleaner. He told me he was in a building site in the adjoining town and if he came from there it would take at least two and a half hours.
