MUTEK BARCELONA 2018 UNVEILS ITS COMPLETE PROGRAM OF THE FESTIVAL
Mutek Barcelona 2018 is a festival with a strong tradition that puts innovation at the center of its program: the Catalan city will be filled with music, audiovisual performances, conferences and workshops for four days.
The Mutek Barcelona 2018 program includes very respectable DJs, like the founder of Perlon, Zip, Fred P, Move D and many others. These artists are joined by Alexandre Burton & Julien Roy, Bliss Signal, Dafoe, DJ Fra, Kara-Lis Coverdale, Galera, Herman Kolgen, Marc Piñol, Maurice Fulton, Olde Gods, Oma Totem, Porter Ricks, Frames Percussion and Sonic Robots.
The events of Mutek Barcelona 2018 will be divided on various locations of the Catalan capital: it starts on Wednesday, March 7th at 8:30pm with the first of the two Vision experiences at the Institut Français in Barcelona with the projects of Colleen and Waclaw Zimpel.
The second Vision experience will take place on Thursday 8 March at Teatre Barts, where the Canadian duo Alexandre Burton and Julien Roy will present their new audiovisual work.
Following will be the performance of Herman Kolgen with “Different Trains” by Steve Reich accompanied by a training of percussionists. On Thursday night, at the Laut club, the first Play experience will begin, with Wooky dj set, M.E.S.H live and the live by the Italian Mana.
On Friday instead, during the afternoon the last event will be held at DIGI_Lab Mazda with the experimental performance of Graham Dunning. The first night “Nocturne” will take you to the Nitsa / Astin club, where the most will play Zip, Fred P, Move D, Marc Piòol, Beatrice Dillon together with many others.
Mutek Barcelona 2018 will close on Saturday 10 March with the session “Experience” at the Estrella Damm factory and the second night at the club Nitsa / Astin, where the console will alternate with Oma Totem, Dj Python, Maurice Fulton, Robert Lippok, Totu, Belief Defect, Byetone and Dj Fra.
The program that every year Mutek offers its audience provides a total immersion into the world of music as a digital experimentation, focusing a lot on the visual part and on the presentations of new technologies.
