The chapter explains what evaluation looks like by showing different models of evaluation and how to apply the three phases of evaluation into the Instructional design process.

Evaluation is important in making sure that you are reaching your learning objectives.
Real life example
I think it’s important to think about what type of evaluation is necessary for the type of learning you are expecting to occur. For example, when thinking about evaluation I always think about ACTs and SATs and what they actually evaluate vs what they are used for and how these tests don’t always test for knowledge like how Colleges use them.
