Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas President and CEO Lorie Logan to speak at McCombs Jan. 18.

Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas President and CEO Lorie Logan will speak about U.S. economic outlook and monetary policy Jan. 18 at the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. The public is invited to the event at Robert B. Rowling Hall, which includes a reception at 3:30 p.m. and welcoming remarks by McCombs Dean Lillian Mills at 4 p.m.

Logan took office in August, and with this speech she will introduce the monetary policy objectives that will guide her.

Julia Coronado, Texas McCombs clinical associate professor of finance and a former colleague in the Federal Reserve Sytem with Logan, will moderate a question-and-answer period after Logan’s speech.

“We’re thrilled that Lorie has chosen UT and the Austin community as a platform for sharing her perspectives on monetary policy and the economic outlook as she begins her tenure,” Coronado said.

“Through several financial crises, Lorie’s cool head and sound policies have earned the respect of her colleagues at the Fed and among financial market participants more broadly. I look forward to watching her navigate the 11th district through the various challenges that lie ahead.”

Links are available to gain livestream access, to submit questions, and to RSVP for the reception. Visitors may park in the AT&T Center garage, with overflow parking at Brazos, Guadalupe, and Trinity garages.
