January 2023 Veterans-Only Land Sale Now Open for Bidding
Since 1946, Texas Veterans and Military Members can finance land purchases on favorable terms through the Texas Veterans Land Board. We know that many Veterans and Military Members would like to own a slice of heaven we call Texas.
The current sale features tracts in eight counties: Bosque, Cameron, Camp, Comal, Grimes, Henderson, Johnson and Palo Pinto. Available tracts can be viewed on the VLB Land Sale page. All bids must be placed by January 24, 2023, by 5 p.m. C.T.
A Veteran or Military Member whose bid is accepted may apply for a VLB land loan and benefit from exceptional rates and terms:
- $150,000 available on a minimum one-acre property tract
- 6.95% interest rate
- Minimum 5% down payment
- Payment term is up to 30 years
The VLB will only finance up to the minimum bid amount, up to $150,000. Any amount offered over the minimum bid must be paid at closing by the awardee. The maximum loan amount offered through the VLB Land Loan Program may not exceed $150,000.
Don’t forget VLB land loans are also available to finance almost any available land tracts of one acre or more in Texas. Find more information here.
