Oral History: Meet First Gulf War U.S. Air Force and Army Reserve Veteran, Dr. Sharon Frederick
Abilene native, Dr. Sharon Frederick served as an MP in the US Air Force at the time of the first Gulf War in 1991 during operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
In the days leading up to the liberation of Kuwait from Sadam Hussein’s Iraqi forces, U.S. Troops were staged throughout the Middle East including Dubaï, where Dr. Federick was stationed.
Dr. Federick later joined the Army’s Medical Corps and is now a Major in the U.S. Army Reserve.
