We think that love IS sweeter at our nine Texas State Veterans Homes. Every year our Veterans think pink on Valentine’s Day and celebrate with sweet treats and flowers. Then the longest-married Veterans at each home are crowned as the local home’s king and queen.

Cupid must have blessed the couples crowned this year’s king and queen. There were two couples who celebrated 74 years together. A few others weren’t far behind with 73 years of wedded bliss and 66 years. There were five couples total who were married for more than 50 years.
