Volunteer for Wreath Retrieval

Every year, friends, family and members of the community gather to place a Christmas wreath on every grave, monument and columbarium for the Veterans and their families who are interred at each Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

“The holiday season is a joyous time of the year, but can be an emotional and trying time for families and loved ones where the sense of loss is often relived or heightened,” says Eric Brown, Deputy Director of Texas State Veterans Cemeteries. “Laying wreaths within our hallowed grounds helps to comfort those left to cherish the memories of Veterans and their families.”
