Episode #5 of Recs & Devs Podcast features Amélie Alleman, former tech recruiter and founder of Betuned

Amélie started her professional career as tech recruiter in an agency and her experiences lead her to recently launched her own company, Betuned, focused on a new approach to HR and recruitment.

In this new episode, Amélie’s passion for recruitment and her story with a high entrepreneurial spirit will inspire you to follow your dreams and not to get stuck in the routine, but to innovate and be creative to become the best version of yourself.

Some of her strongest points during the podcast episode include:

  • Don’t forget that candidates are human — we tend to forget that they are more than their CV but we should try to get to know them and to understand what they need and look for.
  • Prepare well and ask the right questions. This will help you not only to know the candidate but to give the client the BEST candidate.
  • Be naive and be bold: if you have an idea, believe that is possible. Amélie tells us how she was naive as a junior recruiter, and how she grew and evolved fast in the field thanks to that idea that anything can happen.
  • If you are not happy at some point, it is best to stop. Live is too short to be doing something you don’t want or you are not passionate about.
