About Tezos India
Mission: To Build and Empower a well-rounded Tezos ecosystem in India.
Tezos India kick-started its journey in October 2019. It is dedicated to growing the Tezos community in India. We believe that a great ecosystem is a sum of all its participants. We want to enable individuals and organizations to seamlessly become part of the Tezos ecosystem in India, and participate in the thriving global Tezos ecosystem by adding meaningful value.

University Engagements
Tezos Clubs -
Tezos Clubs are set up at various universities to educate the students about Tezos blockchain. It is an annual development program for blockchain enthusiasts to learn from the leaders in the ecosystem via workshops and in-house hackathons. The course is curated based on the expertise of the target audience. The first three months focus on training students on blockchain fundamentals, and then educating them on building & deploying smart contracts. Hack-7 days (in-house hackathon) is conducted for the university students to gauge their knowledge level and to prepare them for inter-college and other global hackathons.
Tezos India is running Tezos Clubs in 10 universities and colleges in India and has plans to expand it to more colleges in the coming year. Tezos Developer community Hansraj College, Ambedkar DSEU Shakarpur Campus-1, SRM University KTR, IGDTUW, Rewa Engineering College, Rungta College of Engineering and Technology, Jamia Hamdard, Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology, MIT ADT University and many more.
Currently, Tezos India is training 200+ students across all the universities as a part of these clubs.

Fellowship & Hackathons -
TEZASIA Hackathon
TEZASIA is a regional hackathon organized by Tezos India. This Pan-Asia hackathon invites developers from all walks of life to come and participate in a month-long event. You can check the complete stats report here. The hackathon offered USD 30,000 in prizes across all tracks.
We received a staggering 1000+ idea submissions, resulting in over 200+ projects. From this pool of talent, 35+ projects were fully functioning and we carefully selected 9 projects for the final pitch.
Hack-7-Days Hackathon
Tezos India orchestrated two hackathons under the banner of Hack-7 Days this year, held from March 21 to 28, 2023, and June 22 to 28, 2023. These week-long events aimed to kick-start developers on their Tezos Ecosystem journey. The participants benefited from workshops covering the fundamentals of blockchain and Tezos, guidance on writing and deploying smart contracts on Tezos, and insights into opportunities within the Tezos Ecosystem. A dedicated Discord channel was established to offer mentor support and share hackathon updates. Notably, we received 116 registrations from Tezos Clubs at GTBIT, New Delhi, resulting in 25 project submissions, and 70 registrations from Tezos Club Hansraj College, University of Delhi, with 11 project submissions. Among the participating teams, five secured prizes, while 10 teams received a share of the prize pool.

Hack-7-day hackathon happens for every Tezos Club, set up at different colleges/universities across India to enhance the expansion of the Tezos Ecosystem. The main motive of this hackathon is to provide practical exposure to Tezos to beginners & to support them with further development & research on Tezos Ecosystem. So far, we have conducted Hack-7 days in 2 universities.
Sponsored Hackathons
In the past, we have sponsored a total of 25 hackathons with 20 project submissions out of which 13 projects received Tezos India hackathon bounty. Currently, we have 7 upcoming hackathons. Tezos India provides 12000, 8000, and 4000 INR for the top 3 best projects built on Tezos Ecosystem and a grant opportunity of up to 5,000 USD for the best project in every sponsored hackathon.
Education Initiatives
Tezos Buildercamp prog -
TezIndia BuilderCamp is a curated 6–8 weeks, self-paced learning course. Learn the basics of web3 and Tezos Blockchain in this 6-week self-paced learning course. The program is a mix of both theoretical and experiential learning. The course will get developers started with their journey on the Tezos blockchain, and apply for internships within the ecosystem after successfully completing the course.
We shortlisted 50 candidates for this program and trained them.
Tezos Developer Handbook
We are delighted to share that we are working on the Tezos Developer Handbook. The requirement came in while conducting hackathons as we realized that participants who aren’t very familiar with Web 3.0, need a quick guide (15 days) to start building their DApps on Tezos. Developer Handbook 2023 was released by Q1 2023.
In Q1 2024 we will be releasing a new edition of the handbook.
Events & Workshops
Tezos India hosted 56 events (like sessions in collaboration with upcoming platforms on Tezos, a masterclass with Tezos India President, fireside chats, and sessions in various summits & AMAs (Ask me Anything)). We have conducted 31 AMA sessions during TezAsia, 6 Twitter spaces, 2 with The Product House, 1 with DAOstruct.xyz, and 3 with sponsored hackathon teams and received 1000+ participation with an overall outreach of 5,000+ people.
We partnered with over 100 events (as a part of workshops, seminars, hackathons, fellowships, Tezos clubs, and other ad-hoc events).
Community Reward Program
Tezos India encourages all those who give back to the ecosystem via workshops, sessions, mentorship, project support, or funding. We planned and started a bounties program in Q2 for initiating a rewards program for incentivizing all such efforts that are helping the ecosystem grow more.
Ecosystem Development & Tech Support
- In 2023, Tezos India forged 9 strategic partnerships, spanning major incubators, centralized exchanges, gaming conferences, and key global infrastructure players.
- Completed 12 end-to-end integrations, showcasing a robust commitment to advancing the Tezos ecosystem.
- Devoted a staggering 1500+ hours to integration and consultation efforts, emphasizing a meticulous approach to development and support.
- Provided exclusive technical support to 6 Tzapac projects, spanning diverse sectors such as DeFi, gaming, NFTs, etc.
- Assisted 5+ projects requested by Tzapac, offering comprehensive consultation support on smart contract challenges and intricate technical issues.

Buidlers Tribe
With Buidlers Tribe, our main goal is to spread awareness of the Tezos Ecosystem Growth Grants Program (EGG). This will help us with more visibility and boost the number of projects/startups applying for the EGG Program.

Graviton
Tezos India has joined Graviton as Ecosystem Partners for the incubation program. Through this collaboration, Tezos India will provide active assistance to cohort teams on mentorship and insights from the Tezos India team and integration and Technology support from the Tezos India team. This partnership will allow for the creation of more decentralized applications (dApps) on the Tezos blockchain.

Tezos India has teamed up with GoLiveGaming, a top mid-core game publisher, to launch the first-ever cricket Web3 game on Tezos — Cricket Stars — a unique game that combines skills and strategic thinking with engaging gameplay and card mechanics, combining the thrill of cricket with the cutting-edge technology of Web3.

CoinDCX Event Unfold Partnership
CoinDCX is India’s biggest centralized exchange with volumes crossing a billion dollars. CoinDCX invited Aman (TI Growth Head) & Simarpreet (DevRel Lead) for an offline event where they delivered a session on P2E Gaming. This led to an increase in offline presence and building a better relationship with CoinDCX.

Acxyn Gaming Workshop
TZ APAC incubated gaming infra startup — Acxyn, reached out to market their online seminar on Web3 Gaming in Indian markets. Tezos India helped their team from ideation to execution of the seminar which garnered interest from 20+ Indian gaming companies.

HGC Gaming Summit Partnership
Hyper Games Conference is an international gaming conference that conducts an annual event in multiple countries like Istanbul, Spain, UAE, etc. Tezos joined them as a community partner and also participated in a panel discussion. The event had a footfall of over 700+ people.

Rariko is web3 first social platform focusing on data ownership, cross-platform communication, and user preferences. Tezos India agreed to provide strategic, technical, and marketing support to the project.
WalletChat
Through this integration:
- Every Tezos user can now communicate natively from their wallet
- All dApps can integrate the Wallet Chat widget to supercharge their community engagement ( it can be shown with a small chat icon on the bottom right of the platform which is expanded when clicked like LinkedIn chat)

TIAR
TIAR App is an app where people can play fantasy sports, cricket & chess, minigolf, and many other hyper-casual games. Tezos India provided tech support through which now the games can be played through XTZ.
TIAR has around 25,000 downloads and excelled in the fantasy league during the IPL. However, most liquidity resides on Ethereum. We’re considering subsidizing their fees (the 10% platform fee) to encourage Tezos transactions.

Fiat on-ramp and off-ramp supporting multiple networks. Through the integration, anyone can directly purchase XTZ through the FIAT currency.
Script Network
Open source web3 live TV platform, protocol, and video storage network. We provided them with technical support during the whole integration process. Now users can log in to Script Network via Temple Wallet.

A dynamic and open-source live TV platform, protocol, and video storage network. It is one of the most used audio-video web3 protocols and through the integration, users can log in via any Tezos wallet and use the platform.

Hummingbot-Plenty Integration
Introduce new support for the Tezos chain and a new connector for Plenty. The work included integration of Plenty scripts in the codebase Coding and testing of individual modules of Tezos, Recreating the Plenty pricing and router swapping script, and much more.

Gaspack
NFT launchpad empowers creators, artists, and brands to build their IP into NFT projects, from the development phase to the launching and scaling. The work included Creating backend APIs and frontend wrappers. Tested the SCs on ghostnetShipped wallet connect module, config for RPC node, and other static values. Added reference to implement tezos instance to global state
Reneko
ReNeko is a multiplayer anime-themed brawler and character collection game, built on the powerful Unreal Engine 5. The work included Improving the scripts in response to the feedback provided by the team. Also, completed the scripts for user interaction as well as API data and completed the smart contracts for token contracts as well as proxy contracts amongst other activities.
Hyperglade
Hyperglade provides an easy-plug-and-play cloud-based platform for businesses to launch their own blockchain utility using NFTs. The work included Wert integration with FA1.2 token with DOGAMI token mint on the sandbox.
Also Worked on updating SC for FA1.2 token with some additional features, and some tzkt api calls. Fixed Backend Auth Integration and added ttl for access tokens. Updated SC for xtz support and modified mint function Integrated wert.io checkout function with FE required changes in Smart contract mintt function for XTZ mint and did testing of the contract.
Hummingbot-Quipuswap
Introduce new support for the Tezos chain and a new connector for Quipuswap. The proposal is currently live and being voted on.
The integration encapsulated Developing the script using the frontend code of Quipuswap. Solving an issue with a library only working on the frontend, but our script is for backend and also the Quipuswap frontend code to understand its working, and re-creating the scripts to do pricing calculations on the backend, and much more.
Payper Finance
It’s the first perpetual derivaties platform using Virtual Market Maker (VMM) on Tezos by Payper Finance. The tech support included Creating Price API and starting working on P/L, along with Working on zenith’s UI, setup the codebase locally also making changes with tradingview widgets for calling API data and much more.

Consultation Support
Tezos India also provided consultation support to Normies, Upbit, OkCoinJapan, Crowdserve, Pinjam, and Boom. This involvement went beyond a mere advisory capacity, offering these projects comprehensive consultation support. Tezos India’s developers addressed a spectrum of challenges, ranging from the intricacies of smart contract development to more complex technical issues.

During the PR campaign spanning from April to October 2023, our efforts garnered 217 coverages across various media platforms.
