Tezos India Monthly Update: Jan 2023

January was another productive month as we continued to work on partnerships, collaborations, and integration.

Here is a quick recap!

TezIndia Buildercamp 1.0

The inaugural batch of the Builders Camp was launched in January. In this six-week self-paced course, developers will master the fundamentals of Web3, Tezos, and building on the Tezos blockchain.

In addition to theoretical and experiential learning, the program will offer interactive workshops, mentorship support, and project-building assistance from industry professionals. Out of the approximately 300 applicants, 50 were chosen for the first cohort.

We are excited to see how this program will expand the number of developers who are actively involved in the Tezos ecosystem.

Tezday 2023

In order to demonstrate the strength of Tezos’ influence on the Indian web3 ecosystem, Tezos India also held an invite-only offline event. More than 400 people registered for the event, out of which 80 were invited.

Industry leaders, including Om Malviya, President of Tezos India, Pradeep, founder of Obvious wallet, and Edul Patel, founder of Mudrex, participated in a panel discussion at the event on the theme of Web3 2022 Recap and 2023 Outlook. The project showcase that followed the panel discussion featured DeFi and gaming projects such as Tezsure and GoLiveGaming.

It was a wonderful opportunity to interact with the Indian developer community, introduce them to the web3 ecosystem, and educate them about it.

Partnership with Builders Tribe & Graviton

To continue our ongoing support for the Indian Web3 ecosystem, we are excited to partner with BuidlersTribe.

Through this partnership, we are offering budding entrepreneurs and the next generation of blockchain talent the opportunity to bring their blockchain-connected ideas to life through the Ecosystem Growth Grant (EGG).

We also joined hands with Graviton as ecosystem partners to provide active assistance to cohort teams on mentorship and insights, integration and technology support, and access to the Tezos community. Graviton is a cohort-based incubator for high-potential Web-3 businesses. The 16-week program will equip entrepreneurs with the knowledge of Web-3 first principles, allow them to work on problems with mentors, and give them access to funds and a smart network.

We look forward to working together to promote the growth of decentralized technology in India.
