Samuel Harrison joins TCF as Operations Director

The Board of Directors of the Tezos Commons Foundation is pleased to announce that Samuel Harrison has joined TCF as Director of Operations.
TCF — and the Tezos ecosystem generally — is entering a new phase. The launch of the betanet is right around the corner. Local communities around the world are gathering together to discuss, learn about and celebrate the Tezos protocol and ecosystem.
For our part, The Tezos Commons Foundation has spent it’s first 90 days planning and implementing operations, requesting and receiving funds, and launching it’s first two initiatives: Meetup Funding and Community Grant Funding. The seven member board of directors has invested many hours in these activities, and we plan to accelerate our efforts in the months to come. We have contracted with Sam, effective June 1st, to provide support to help TCF execute on its charter.
Sam holds degrees from the University of Utah, Philosophy and Ethical Systems, and Santa Clara University School of Law with a Juris Doctorate and MBA. He has a decade of experience working with technology firms including building the US distribution channels for the computer security company Avira, and then managing operations and business development aspects of Nok Nok Labs — an innovator in using public key cryptography for user authentication. Sam was a participant in the Tezos fundraiser in 2017, and has contributed to the community on Riot (@tezosaccelerator) and Twitter (@XTZaccelerated).
Sam will be responsible for running day-to-day operations for the Tezos Commons Foundation. He will be a front line responder and advocate for Tezos. He is tasked with ensuring that we meet our threefold goal of engaging and communicating with our vibrant community, identifying and enabling worthy community projects for acceleration, and supporting research and education initiatives that help the community grow. During the month of June, Sam will be in Paris where he is supporting activities leading to the Tezos launch.
Welcome Sam, and Bienvenue!
