Nimiq is a low barrier payments protocol that makes mining and payments as simple as running a browser. As we head towards mass adoption, there will be a tremendous need for a crypto on-ramp that is as simple and intuitive as possible for newcomers. The Nimiq protocol aims to provide this solution.

After about a year of test-net development, the Nimiq Mainnet is ready and will be released in the next few days. With a project chock-full with amazing features, Nimiq is clearly ahead of a vast majority of projects — projects which might be in the test net stages yet somehow have greater market valuations.

Why Should You Care?
These German PhDs don’t fool around. The tech-first mentality of the project reminds me much of the Loopring Project who like Nimiq, valued putting their heads down and working their asses off over premature marketing. For that they were spectacularly rewarded in market cap growth as awareness finally reached the general public. Nimiq shares all the same qualities as the Loopring project. Straightforward tech with quality technical craft and a mentality focused on substance over hype.
These qualities are why I believe Nimiq might be the most underrated project in the crypto-space. It’s a cliché statement, but with Nimiq I believe it has absolute merit.
