A Happy Place I Visit Oftentimes

My eternal happy place:

There’s always a place promising to wrap us all in warmth and love — a place that conjures lovely visuals offering solace and belonging.

In the static pool of boredom, even the slightly vivid imagery sends ripples of positivity and we call it our happy place.

I’ve had many happy places in the world around me and in my imaginary world. Whenever I need to take a break from overwhelming days, the memories attached to them resurface slowly to rekindle my thoughts.

My happy place peels away the layers of life to bring the tranquility I had been looking for. When I return to the present (place or thoughts), my thoughts swim in an ocean of gratitude that makes the present a happy place as well.

The richness of gratitude spans over the complexities of life — attracting blessings, shielding from tides of frustrations.

And, at the end of the day, I know gratitude is my eternal happy place — calmly waiting to offer shelter from uncertain feelings — to rekindle faith and hope.

“The real gift of gratitude is that the more grateful you are, the more present you become.” Robert Holden

Happy place in the words:

A good while ago, I read a book about gratitude. The author was beautifully narrating how gratitude draws blessings in our life by the law of attraction.

I was pretty tired that day; the soothing flow of words easily shifted my focus to the abundance offered by every facet of my life and replenished my energy to start afresh.

I’ve always had an overall optimistic outlook on life because there’s no other way to live through the complexities of life. I wasn’t oblivious to blessings in my life, for that matter.

But, of course, there were times (and there are) when for a while I lose my focus on gratitude because of more demanding things.

Reading those words, I felt the warmth radiating from the paper — that lightened my heart in imperceptible ways.

I realized, gratitude is the ultimate union of humanity.

No matter how unique our lives are, a few words focussed on gratitude have a loving power to glue the hearts of people even from a distance as we all crave hope, positivity, and a new beginning. As Henri J.M. Nouwen said,

“Gratitude goes beyond the ‘mine’ and ‘thine’ and claims the truth that all of life is a pure gift.” — Henri J.M. Nouwen

Happy place in the virtual world:

I believe, in today’s fast-paced world, we all have more or less an equal share of problems. Sometimes the solution resides not in fierce and motivational books, but right in front of us; we overlook it because of the frustrations clouding our eyes.

A few words in appreciation of life shun the clouds and we see things as they are.

Gratitude opens our hearts to life, and with hearts teeming with blessings, we see the blueprints of a seemingly obscured road.

While embracing the gifts of heartfelt gratitude offered by that book, my heart ached to write about gratitude and offer positivity to readers as that book offered me.

When I stumbled across this gratitude platform back in June, I couldn’t believe my dream of writing about gratitude is finally coming to a realization.

Not only did I get to write about gratitude and positive stuff, but I met the positive souls here in this community and got the unending support and help that has made all the difference in my writing journey.

Words penned by this community in appreciation of the universe and life sprouts the seedlings of hope, love, and beauty in my heart paving a way for a new beginning.

In the unending war of intangible emotions, gratitude is my armor — my eternal happy place. And now I get to replenish my energy by reading and writing stories of gratitude.

Thank You Notes is now my happy place in the virtual world. And I am sincerely grateful to this community.
