My Aunt Wilma, the lady on the left in the photo, was one of the few people left about whom I could say I had known her all of my life.

Our relationship grew closer after my dad’s death in 1983. She and my uncle Alvin helped my mother move to a new community, get settled, and find a job. Mom didn’t drive. She never had to so long as my dad was alive. Wilma stepped in and…
