My Joyful Morning Preparation

Involves recharging myself for the day ahead.

I live by the above quote. I absolutely love preparing myself when it comes to starting the day ahead; and by that, I mean a mind-body-soul type of preparation.

It wasn’t always like that though. I used to wake up, and do my daily activities on autopilot mode. I wasn’t enjoying it. But I wasn’t enjoying how my days went either. I was at the mercy of external events, unable to keep my emotions in check.

But that’s because I wasn’t having a morning routine that allowed me to get mentally charged.

Just as when plugging in my devices to recharge so I can use them, this is what my morning routine serves for me. When I invest time in my own everyday preparation, I find myself fully charged and ready to take over any challenges the day has in store for me.

When my batteries are full, I am less reactive, more mindful, and more composed.

My joyful preparation for the day ahead allows the soil of my mind to be fertilized in the garden that is my life. I can then plant the seeds and allow them to flourish into something amazing.

A few years ago, I realized that befriending my thoughts and creating routines, especially morning ones would serve me for the best. After years of delving into spirituality, I noticed that my outer world is a direct reflection of my thoughts.

Thus, I love starting my day with positive affirmations, meditation, yoga, and a cup of hot lemon water followed by a nice warm mug of coffee. The sweet inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee in the morning always takes over my senses, without fail.

I like taking time for myself in the morning to realign to my own energy and to that of the Source. I love the process because I feel like I am honoring my true Self by doing so and thus I am better prepared to be there for others. I can be there for people, fully present, and more able to serve them.

A little goes a long way.

Even if it is not a lengthy routine, especially if the time doesn’t allow it, I still do something to ‘recharge’ myself. I don’t really like bringing negative or stale energy into my day.

Of course, that doesn’t mean that everything goes according to my plan or those unpredictable things never happen. It solely means I am more prepared to deal with whatever I might come my way that day.

My biggest joy is when people feel happier and more energized than they were when we first met.

When I take time for myself, I am more in alignment and I am more connected to my body and its needs. I know when it’s time for me to rest and when it is to take action. I am more in tune with animals, nature, signs, and synchronicities. And thus I can follow the Univers’ guidance.

For me, the peace of mind and joy I get from my daily morning routine is priceless.
