Twittle One-Year Anniversary
A twittle-treat for Halloween
Dancing skeletons, candy to eat,
twittle ’n’ tweet, trick or treat,
jack-o’-lanterns, fear-o’-cheer,
It’s Halloween this time of year! 🎃Hoo-hoo-hooray, it’s one year today
since twittles came to our screens,
100 letters, four lines in verses
poems, ditties, and memes 🎉
Hoo-hoo-hooray, it was one year ago today that twittles made their first appearance on Medium and Twitter. Since then, the twittle train 🚂 has been choofing around Medium picking up happy twittlers along the way. 😊
A twittle is a four-line rhyming micropoem constructed with exactly 100 alphabet letters (spaces and non-alphabetical characters are not included in the count).
Twittles are fun to write. They can be about anything and everything. And because they’re so compact, they’re perfect to tweet on Twitter.
When I introduced twittles to Medium on October 30 last year, it never occurred to me…
