The ThankView Customer Success team receives a lot of questions about how to get the most out of a ThankView subscription. We want to open up your FAQs and answers to the whole community!

This month we’re addressing:

1. What are some resources I can share with new ThankView users?

With the recent rise of organizations working remotely, more and more team members want to log into ThankView to see if it’s the right fit for their communication.

We’re all for that and want to make sure you have all you need to put together a starter kit for those peeps new to the ThankView family.

  1. First and foremost, the ThankView intro video — This gives a great overview of the platform for any brand-new user.
  2. Weekly training — We offer hour-long training sessions that go in-depth on each ThankView feature. If the date/time doesn’t work, here’s a recording of the training to pass along.
  3. Quick Tutorials — Want to show a recorder just how to record? Check out our full list of tutorials.
  4. ThankView FAQs, ThankView Blog, and Youtube Channel— every user has access to our full arsenal of FAQs, our blog, and our Youtube Channel featuring examples and webinar recordings.

2. What instructions should we include in video requests?

The video request tool is a great option to request videos from students and staff and have them save directly into your Video Library.

Here are some things to consider for your Video Request instructions:

  1. Do you want recipients to film on a computer or smartphone? If you have a preference, make sure to let them know. If a smartphone, make sure to mention rotating their phone horizontally so their video fills the whole screen.
  2. Include a short 3–5 sentence script or outline. If you want them to follow the script exactly, make sure it’s clearly stated. If you’d like them to make it their own, encourage them to only use the outline as a guideline.
  3. Include this video for them to learn the basics about lighting, standing close to the mic, and other technical advice. This quick and helpful video gives a good overview of things you can easily forget when filming remotely.
  4. Give a recommended video length. If this video will be combined with other videos make it quick (under 30 seconds)! If this is a bigger announcement or a stand-alone video, we recommend suggesting recorder stick to 1–5 minutes.
  5. Found an example you really liked from our Facebook group, Youtube Channel or Idea Share Sheet? Link to it! Give your students or staff some inspiration. Here’s one of our favorites.

3. What are ThankView’s enterprise features? How do I know what’s included in my subscription?

We’ve gotten quite a few questions lately about how to tell what’s included in your subscription. You can see the date range of your subscription, the amount of ThankViews sent, and other account details on the “My Account” page of your portal, located in the dropdown at the top right of the ThankView window.
