The ThankView Customer Success team receives a lot of questions about how to get the most out of a ThankView subscription. We want to open up your FAQs and answers to the whole community!

This month we’re addressing:

  1. What would a sample ThankView form include?
  2. How can I add closed captioning to my video?
  3. How can I encourage recipients to reply through the “Reply” button?

1. What would a sample ThankView form include?

Are you putting together a more formal process for ThankView campaign requests? Do you have members of your leadership team that don’t want or need access to ThankView but want a say in the messaging?

A ThankView Request form is a great solution.

We recommend starting your ThankView request form by copying the google form below and adding the questions and descriptions you know your team will be looking for. In addition, you can delete any features not included in your current subscription (e.g. if you don’t have texting, you can remove that question.)

Here’s the form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1yCNyGhgwC8JOojEJPxLWNxiL4bvOgE1uTzF_IG2jzJU/edit?usp=sharing

If you’d prefer a word doc. version, please reach out to your CS manager or success@thankview.com.

2. How can I add closed captioning to my video?

Adding captions makes your video more accessible, so we recommend using them especially for larger sends.

You can easily add captions within ThankView, by going to the “Accessibility” tab and adding a $50 caption credit.

Then, when you’re ready to caption a video, ThankView will have the video back to you within 24 hours.

Here’s the FAQ full article on captioning.

It’s also possible to create your own SRT file. It sounds intimidating at first, but this article from our partners at Animoto does a great job breaking down how to build your first .srt file.

Once you’ve created your first .srt file (and given yourself a high-five and a milkshake) you can email the file to support@thankview.com along with the name of the video you’d like to attach the captions to.

We’ll take it from there and email you once the captions are live.

3. How can I encourage recipients to reply through the “Reply” button?

If you’ve been a ThankView partner for a while, you may have noticed that email replies (somone clicking “Reply” in their inbox, not on the landing page) do not get tallied in your Metrics breakdown.

Of course, all replies are great!

It means your recipients are watching their videos and sending their feedback. But what are some ways to encourage people to use that “Reply” button below the video so your metrics are more accurate within ThankView?

  1. Shoutout the Reply button in the video — This could be a short ending that’s added to all of your scripts or it could be included only in campaigns that you’re looking for feedback. This will help ensure your recipients don’t go back to their inbox to reply.

2. Highlight the Reply button in the main description box — if you’re looking for replies let them know to hit the reply button below. And if you have video replies included in your subscription, let them know if you’d prefer a text or video reply.
